About me

A short version of a looong story

A lot of my experience has shown me how easy it is for good work to turn into checking boxes. I focus on engaging with real problems I've faced and actually considering what the impact looks like, rather than just delivering something that looks good on paper.

That's why I co-founded Connectree to connect volunteers with nonprofits in Egypt, why I built Vertex A11y (first place at HackGT, out of 1,500+ teams) to make accessibility feel less like a chore for developers, and why I keep asking why before how.

Right now I'm looking for an internship where I can take that thinking into a much larger system and learn from people who do it for a living.

Outside of code, I spend a lot of time on things that have nothing to do with code. That part tends to be where the better ideas come from.
